For me buying 868mhz eLRS components was a big experiment with high potential for a total fail. I intended to use the eLRS system for replacing a museal 40mhz r/c system used for my r/c submarines since many years. Nobody was able to answer the question if a digital radio system running at such high frequency could work for a fully submeged sub, as usually range will dramatically decrease with increasing frequency and conductivity of water. E.g. an usual 2.4ghz r/c system will already fail if the rx antenna gets submerged for just a few centimeters.
After cautious testing (with the optional longer rx antenna) I can say it was a full success! I have at least same range as with the old system before and in addition I have now telemetry as well in combination with a Matek CRSF-PWM-C board. Meanwhile both submarines are finally retrofitted for eLRS and have already many hours operational time without any incidents. I hope BetaFpv will continue supporting eLRS for both 868/900mhz and 2.4ghz, so other special applications may benefit from this technology, too.

I order BETAFPV ELRS Nano Receivers shipping was fast. Receivers are flashed to ELRS 1.0.0. by default, you will need to flash to version of your choice. I'm happy with my purchase. All my quadcopters are now on ERLS.
